Hardware Road Property
In 2005, Robert K. Spencer donated property on Hardware Road in Scottsville to the Scottsville Center for Arts and Nature.
Jay Dalgliesh, Architect
The building, influenced by the Shaker-style round barn, will house several studios, classrooms, an art gallery, and a large multi-purpose space for gatherings and performances. The facilities are designed to accommodate artists and students interacting through workshops, demonstrations, lessons, and exhibits.
There will be demonstration plant beds used for indigenous flora propagation for workshops situated throughout the property. The result--a nature park for the benefit of future generations.
