Nancy Gill: Photography Instructor
Nancy Gill received her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art.. She has always been interested in alternative photographic methods, as well as, straight documentary.
She is a strong believer that motion can be found in inanimate objects. Her series of a dying flower blossum were photographed with exploring this. The Dancer was created from a fading Hibiscus bloom.
Always attracted to small, rural areas, Nancy has photographed for and written for local newspapers. She and a colleague published "The Goochland Magazine," which had a lifespan of three years.
Her "cameraless" workshop will be offered to the Scottsville Center for Arts and Nature this fall and will combine traditional photographic practices with digital processing.
